AIDS

It remains the most deadly epidemic of modern times since it was first observed in 1981. Killing about 32 million people around the world so far, AIDS remains a major public health concern and the main cause of death in the world despite efforts to control the disease. AIDS is the late stage of HIV infection that occurs when the body’s immune system is badly damaged due to the virus. Now, by taking antiretroviral drugs, people with HIV can live a healthy and long life.
