Bob Marley’s iconic life is set to grace the silver screen in the much-anticipated biopic “Bob Marley: One Love.” Speaking on what his father’s possible reaction would have been, Ziggy Marley, the legendary musician’s son, said “he would laugh,” at any attempt to have a film about his life.

He was of the view that his father, Bob Marley, would have been delighted to see a movie made about his iconic life. He added that Bob Marley had a creative side and once harbored dreams of making a Western film.

Ziggy Marley disclosed that the biopic, “Bob Marley: One Love,” will unveil lesser-known aspects of the late singer’s life and dreams, providing the public with a deeper and different connection to Marley’s vision and ideas than ever before, according to Pink Villa.

Ziggy Marley was 12 when Bob Marley passed away from cancer in 1981, at the very young age of 36. Ziggy Marley, who is now 55, is thrilled to bring his father’s story to the screen. With his own family, he feels honored to shed light on the unknown aspects of Bob Marley’s life. “Bob Marley: One Love” is set for release on February 14, 2024, focusing on Bob Marley’s rise to fame and his music until he died in 1981. British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir portrays Bob Marley, earning praise from Ziggy Marley. The cast also includes Lashana Lynch as Rita, James Norton as Chris Blackwell, and Daniel Melville Jr. as Norval Marley, Bob Marley’s father.

Ziggy Marley said that the film will reveal a more humane and emotional side of his father. The movie also aims to detach Bob Marley from what people are used to and promote the bigger message of unity and the need for people to live in peace and love.
