Kwame Nkrumah
As one of the most celebrated African leaders in the world, Kwame Nkrumah has been widely written about and has inspired several creatives who use his ideas and quotes to produce artwork, music and movies. The first black African president in Sub Saharan Africa is not only celebrated in his home nation and continent but has also been honoured in several ways in other parts of the world. In the 1980s, a few years after his death, Nkrumah was honoured with a stamp by the Soviet Union, now Russia.
