Located in Turkana County, Koobi Fora covers an area of approximately 1,800 square kilometers and hosts fossils of hominids from the Pleistocene and Pliocene period (approximately 5 million years ago). It also has a variety of animal and plant fossils. Here you will find the first Australopitechus skull and the remains of Homo habilis and Homo erectus.
