Leland Tyler Wayne, better known as Metro Boomin, has achieved a major milestone, with seven of his songs now surpassing one billion streams on Spotify. The latest track to join this elite list is The Weeknd’s “Heartless.”

Metro Boomin is widely recognized as one of the most influential producers in the hip-hop industry. He has collaborated with top artists like Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, and Don Toliver, shaping the sound of modern hip-hop.

The Weeknd’s “Heartless” now stands alongside Boomin’s other massively streamed tracks, including Post Malone’s “Congratulations,” Future’s “Mask Off,” 21 Savage and Offset’s “Ric Flair Drip,” 21 Savage and The Weeknd’s “Creepin,” Kanye West’s “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” and 21 Savage’s “Bank Account.”

Metro Boomin’s impact on the industry is far-reaching. In addition to his impressive streaming numbers, he has earned numerous accolades, including BET Hip Hop Awards for Producer of the Year in 2016 and 2017, the 2024 Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement for Music in an Animated Feature Production, and BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards in 2016 and 2017.

His track “Creepin” also won the Top Collaboration Song at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, cementing his reputation as a hitmaker. For a producer who began his career with a passion for creating quality music, these achievements are a testament to his enduring influence.

Most recently, the 30-year-old producer delivered a standout performance during Future’s “We Trust You” tour in Brooklyn, New York, thrilling fans with memorable moments, according to Billboard.

Although Metro Boomin received his first Grammy nomination in 2023 for his work on Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres, he narrowly missed out, with the award going to Harry Styles’ Harry’s House. Despite this, his journey continues, and reaching one billion streams on seven tracks is a significant marker of his ongoing success.
