Cardi B’s love for Birkins knows no bounds. On Wednesday, October 9, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper, 31, flaunted her Hermès Birkin bag collection on Instagram Stories.
She kicked off the closet tour by revealing her three newest additions, all perfectly suited for the fall season in warm, cozy hues, according to PEOPLE.
“My new three,” she wrote, featuring a dark crimson red, gray, and dark mustard yellow crocodile Birkins. She shared a photo of the trio displayed on a Louis Vuitton-printed table in her expansive walk-in closet.
“Had to get right for the fall,” she added. While it’s difficult to pinpoint the total value of Cardi”s purse collection, used Crocodile Birkins can start at around $66,000, according to Bloomingdale’s.
The “I Like It” rapper also shared other videos showing off her extensive and continuously growing purse closet.
Cardi noted she’s “really running outta space” as she showed off her impressive collection of rare and expensive bags, which includes a 30 cm Himalaya Hermès Birkin retailing for over $300,000 and a Birkin Cargo bag that may have cost her up to $240,000.
She also has a Kelly Cut Exotic Handbag valued at around $27,000. In another video, the mom-of-three reminisced about her first bags, which she affectionately called “plain Janes.”
“I got my day ones with me,” she said, adding that she was considering whether or not to get rid of the solid color, classic Birkins. “I still love my plain Janes!”
Cardi has always embraced flaunting her designer accessories, previously giving fans an extensive wardrobe tour in 2020. At that time, her impressive walk-in closet boasted 23 Birkin bags, many of which featured unique designs, including camouflage, glitter, and paisley prints.
The display even included a floor-to-ceiling ladder for easy access to her coveted collection. In an Instagram post at the time, Cardi invited fans to “pick a color” as she showed off her stunning wall of purses.
During the display, her then-husband Offset revealed that he was “responsible for 15 of” the designer bags.
While Cardi enjoys flaunting her luxurious collection, she has also been open about the high costs associated with these items, previously reminding her fans in 2021 not to feel pressured to spend tens of thousands of dollars on luxury goods like Hermès purses.
