Six Caribbean proverbs and wise sayings you need to know today

“A nuh every skin teeth a laugh wid yuh..”

This proverb means “not everyone who smiles at you has good intentions”. It warns people against backstabbers and hypocrites, who pretend to like them but in reality, they have ill intentions.

Another version of the proverb is “ Every skin teet (smile) ain’t a laugh,” which is largely used in Antigua and Barbados.
