Hello, Beauties! Aw, the smell of fresh air. I can’t express how glad I am to see springtime in New York City!  Now that I’m starting to thaw, I’m noticing other things that need attention.  Since events are very popular in the warmer months, I tend to wear more makeup – always be your own walking ambassador whatever you do! Today, I want to share with you my skin care regimens.

Skin Products for When You Work Out

What’s the biggest organ we each have?

You guessed it, SKIN!

When we think of skin care, we only think of our faces, but our entire exterior needs care. I can admit that now that it’s getting warmer, I’m thinking about how I can develop a summer body: I’m starting to adopt a healthier lifestyle by eating more green leafy foods, smoothies, and doing my not-so-favorite-but-much-needed workouts.

My workouts cause my body to release a lot of toxins and sweat, which is healthy but also brings along achy and sore muscles.

Mio

This past Christmas, I received a mio fit skin for life box (pictured). I got it from a trusted friend who happens to be fitness expert, Bianca Jade.

This body care product has three formulas that address different aspects of the body: the muscles, the breasts, and the skin to keep you feeling tight as things start to loosen.

For a Younger, Less Dry You

As I look ahead at the next few weeks, I notice I’ll be doing some traveling.  As you know, traveling means I’ll be going in different air environments that may or may not agree with my skin.

Therefore, I have started to use Rodial Skin Care on the Go (pictured below)!  Ricky’s NYC wasRodial kind enough to give me a GLAMTOX kit to test and try. I’m in love with how my skin feels tender like when I was a teenager with super supple skin.  I’m enjoying the natural glow and the recent flux of compliments.

Also, while traveling, my lips are typically affected by the different air environments. One of items that I’ll be taking with me is the Air Repair, Rescue Balm (pictured below).  It’s better than some of the other stuff that I typically buy at the checkout counter at the drugstore.

Rescue balmIt’s a salve that locks in moisture for a long time.  I sometimes use it alone to comfort my dry lips or as a lip conditioner before I apply my lip color.

Yogurt, Anyone?

I haven’t forgotten about my DIY community!

For those of you that love home remedies, you already know that yogurt is a highly nutritious food that provides calcium, protein, and many vitamins and essential nutrients.

But did you know that it’s great for your skin too?

In just 15 minutes, you can treat yourself to a quick, at-home mini-spa experience. Always use yogurt with live active cultures and wash your face gently with mild soap first.  Also, if you have skin sensitivity, trying adding a teaspoon of honey.

You can also try adding in a few of my other favorite ingredients that have skin-health benefits, such as avocado.

Just remember, always test new facial recipes on the inside of your wrist first, in case you have a reaction.

Below was my first time trying the yogurt facial, and it felt very cold, but my skin felt very soft afterward!
