African elephant
African elephants are one of the world’s most intelligent species. They exhibit behaviors and emotions such as play, grief, compassion and humor.
African elephants are mostly found in sub-Saharan Africa in deserts, thick forests, woodlands and bushes.
African elephants are in the Loxodonta genus and are of two types, African bush elephant and the African forest elephant.
These elephants can be found in Chad, Tanzania, Kenya, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
