Julius Nyerere

“Ujaama” is a political theory by Tanzania’s first president, Julius Nyerere. The Swahili communitarian concept formed the grounds of Nyerere’s socialism and governance.

He emphasised on humanism and community and was particularly focused on institutionalising his philosophy through his publications which became bestsellers.
