These famous black people had a battle with stroke and survived

Ali Bongo

Gabonese president, Ali Bongo suffered a stroke on October 24, 2018, while attending a conference in Saudi Arabia. 

He spent months in Morocco where he received further medical care before returning to Gabon. Despite his speech and walking impairment, he has declared himself a possible candidate for the next general election.

His case comes on the back of a similar one of Algeria’s president,  Abdelaziz Bouteflika in 2013. He went ahead to announce his bid to run for a fifth-term. However, he was compelled to resign by the citizens and the military.
