From October 16th to November 8th, the winning photographs of the Uganda Press Photo Awards will be on display at Makerere University.

In order to bring attention to the important work of Uganda’s photojournalists, the Foreign Correspondents of Uganda and the Freidrich Ebert Stiftung created the photo awards — with its five presiding judges — to honor the works of the nation’s top photojournalists.

The top winner receives a Nikon DS300s camera, while other winners receive an assortment of other prizes.
