Tourism is one of the biggest income earners for Africa because of its beautiful and unique sites, friendly population and eclectic culture.
However, some countries receive more tourists than others because of various reasons including diversity of tourism spots, tourist packages, as well as political and economic stability.
The recently released African statistical yearbook by the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) highlights the number of tourists that visited each African countries in 2017. According to AfDB:
