Raven-Symoné marries girlfriend in intimate backyard ceremony

Raven-Symoné marries girlfriend

The world needs a little cheer and more love as we are dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, coupled with a series of police brutality protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death. In true pride month style, Raven-Symoné is officially off the market!

The 34-year-old actress married her girlfriend, Miranda Maday, in a very intimate and private ceremony at an outdoor backyard and shared photos of their nuptials on Instagram Thursday, NBC News reported.

“I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home,” the actress, whose full name is Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman, wrote in the caption. “I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday! Let’s tear this world a new asshole!!! I’s married NOW.”

The pair did not have a big wedding due to the restrictions imposed on us by the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony was held at a quaint, walled-in backyard.

However, Raven-Symoné still acknowledged all those who went out of their way to support them both near and far. “Thank you to all those who helped and for those who understand why it was small during this time,” she wrote in another post.

Maday also shared a photo of their union with the caption, “My wife for life.”

For their ceremony, Maday donned a sleek crème Gucci two-piece set and veil, and Raven went with an all-black ensemble; her rainbow-colored box braids had to represent and a statement piece earring with the inscription “Love It”.

In 2012, the “Raven’s Home” actress tweeted about her sexual orientation saying, “My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.”

The singer-actress shared another post displaying their wedding bands and their new inked fingers with matching tattoos of their first name initials merged as one letter.
