Chance The Rapper and his estranged wife, Kirsten Corley, have finalized their divorce nearly nine months after announcing their separation. The couple, both 31, filed legal documents in Cook County, Illinois, confirming their settlement, according to TMZ.

Chance and Kirsten, who married in 2019 in Newport Beach, share two daughters, Kensli, 9, and Marli, 5, according to Daily Mail.

Court documents reveal Kirsten described their relationship as “irretrievably broken” and confirmed they have lived separately for over six months. She also stated that the settlement is a “fair and equitable resolution,” though specific details remain undisclosed.

The divorce settlement between the couple comes nearly a month after Kirsten officially filed for divorce and about seven months after the couple announced their separation.

In a joint statement released in April, they said: “The two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the same time we spent together.”

Chance, who was born Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, and Corley have known each other since childhood. They began dating in 2013. They welcomed their first daughter, Kensli, in 2015. After a brief breakup in 2016, the couple reconciled and married in 2019.

They married at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, with notable guests including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.Six months later, they welcomed their second daughter, Marli.

The couple’s divorce announcement came a year after Chance was photographed engaging in controversial behavior at Carnival in Jamaica, where he was seen dancing intimately with model Mela Millz. A video shared on Instagram showed Chance slapping model Millz’s bare behind at Carnival in Jamaica.

The footage sparked mixed reactions from his fans, with some criticizing his actions. “He left his wife at home on his bday to go to this,” while others defended his actions, suggesting that it was just part of the celebratory atmosphere of Carnival.
