The Golden Mole
The Golden Mole is located in Sub-Sahara Africa. It is a ‘blind’ furry creature with short limbs and without an external tail. The Golden Mole has a cylindrical body of about 20 to 24cm in length. It lives underground in burrowed holes of about 15cm in depth and feeds on insects as well as earthworms. These supposedly ‘blind’ rare creatures are excellent tunnel engineers whose ingenious tunnelling ability has influenced the architectural ideas of some of the world’s master architects.
