Yemi Alade, Nigeria
Born in 1989 in Abia State, Nigeria, Yemi Alade is one of the most-celebrated African Afro-pop singer and songwriter. She made her musical debut in an all-girl-group called Noty Spices in 2005. Alade gained popularity after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009. The 27-year-old musician has released several hit songs including “Johnny,” “Na Gode,” and “Ferrari.”
