Renowned brand Amazon is reportedly hoping to compete with some of the established brands that have ventured into the foldable laptop market.
Rubbing shoulders with dealers like Asus, Lenovo, and Huawei, sources say the maiden foldable laptop from the e-commerce giant will feature an 18-inch display, among other unique features.

Other details suggest it would be designed to fold into a form factor similar to that of a 13-inch laptop. Some market watchers say Amazon is likely to announce its presence in the laptop market by late 2026 or early 2027.
If the company’s plans manifest, they would join experts like Huawei that have already introduced some foldable laptop models in selected regions. Sources say Apple is also working on a laptop with a foldable display in its MacBook series.

Huawei recently launched a foldable laptop, the MateBook Fold, in its home country. In addition to other outstanding characteristics, the features of the device include 32 GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD storage.
Amazon.com was reportedly sued on Friday by consumers who claimed that the outlet sold a wide variety of rice contaminated by arsenic and other “heavy metals.”

The lawsuit, said to have been filed in Seattle federal court, covers 18 types of rice sold through Amazon. Sources say the litigation followed a study by a non-profit that established that there was arsenic in 145 rice samples purchased nationwide.
