Endangered species that would suffer if DR Congo opens its national parks to oil drilling

Mountain Gorilla

More than half the population of critically endangered mountain gorillas live in Virunga National Park.  They have been exposed to poaching, encroachment of their habitats by humans,  disease and war.

Oil exploration in the park would worsen their current situation.
