7. Ras Dashen
Also referred to as “Ras Dejen,” Ras Dashen is the highest mountain in Ethiopia and the 10th highest mountain in Africa. It is part of Simien Mountains National Park situated in Gondar, Amhara Region.
Ras Dashen Mountain is estimated to be 4,550 meters tall and is said to be the eastern peak of the rim of a large volcano, with half of its northern side reduced to about 1,000 meters by numerous ravines. This mountain experiences severe snowfalls at night.
