Dorze Houses – Ethiopia

These homes are the homes of the Dorze people in the high Guga mountains. The beautiful houses are built with bamboo; thatch leaves also known as the false banana. The houses are weaved neatly and are very strong. The surroundings of the homes are decorated with flowers and neatly kept. Even though the houses shrink with time due to termite raid, the houses can last for over 90 years.
