The leader of Uganda’s Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) came to the limelight because of the guerrilla war he waged in northern Uganda. He had declared himself King David, Solomon, and Hitler, stating that he would never be caught by the government.

Among his atrocious deeds were the abduction of people, which he told his rebels was important for the purification of sinful people.  He also recruited child soldiers, killing more than 1000 people a week.
