Teyana Taylor won her first Golden Globe on Sunday, as she earned the prestigious award for her outstanding supporting performance in the Paul Thomas Anderson film, One Battle After Another.
Following her win, the singer and actress received several congratulatory messages from her colleagues and other industry stakeholders. Among the high-profile celebrities who congratulated her was renowned singer Beyoncé, and she made hers special, as she sent Taylor a bouquet of white roses.
During an interview with Extra on Tuesday, Taylor, 35, touched on Beyoncé’s beautiful gesture and showered praises on her.
“It was just so sweet. Oh my God, I just love her,” Taylor said, per Complex. “She’s been supporting me since I was 15 years old, and it’s always been very, very consistent. I also love that she’s watching me grow and, you know, watching me blossom and I love making her proud. And I love that she don’t miss a chance to remind me of how proud she is of me, and that means the world to me.”

The K.T.S.E. singer, after her Golden Globes win, took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of the bouquet of flowers and a note that Beyoncé, 44, sent her.
“Teyana, I’m so beyond proud of you. You deserve it all and then some. Keep beaming in your power. May God continue to bless you and yours. All my love, B,” the note read.
“Love you Bey,” captioned Taylor.
Beyoncé wasn’t the only person congratulate Taylor with a gift, as rapper Latto also similarly sent her a bouquet of flowers as well as a note. Taylor also posted Latto’s gift on Instagram.
“Congrats T! We are so beyond proud of you. You deserve everything coming your way. Love, Latto, Kayla & Rico,” Latto’s note read.
Taylor delivered an emotional speech when she took the stage to accept her Golden Globe award. She shared a message to “brown sisters and little brown girls watching tonight.”
The 35-year-old actress declared, “Our softness is not a liability. Our depth is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into, our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space.”
