Uncooked Rice Soaked in Water/Milk
Why cook rice when you can just soak it? In as much as this may look inedible, this is a very popular snack in Malawi.
LAST week, I travelled with one Malawian guy &we put up in Centurion, SA.
In the morning he took out a container with uncooked rice, soaked it in cold water for about 30mins, &ate it raw… just like that!He told me they do that in #Malawi!@AfricanCurators

It is prepared by soaking uncooked rice in water/ milk for several hours. Once the rice softens, it is OK to be eaten. You can add sugar to taste.
We even soak it in milk sometimes. Add a little sugar and you’re good to go.

It is also very interesting to note that it is an aphrodisiac. Why not give it a try one of these days?
In Malawi we believe in plenty natural aphrodisiacs.. no viagra for us.. raw rice is one, raw cassava, bwemba fruit another.. just a few examples..
