Poem: Once Upon a Lifetime

Once upon a lifetime,
Life sends weird people our way
They come in diverse forms
Shattering lofty walls of reason
Laying aside strongholds of morals
Scattering darkness(es) of fear
Blurring lines of allegiances pledged

Many come with their own set of rules
Few others dare to be different —
ask questions, break rules
Fewer others are the worst of the lot,
They wield awesomeness,
Erase rules, question answers
Blaze trails, take detours,
Live life.

Who is to blame?
The creator or the created?
Whose bane is it?
To infuse yearnings in mere mortals?
