A giant human-like figure appeared in the clouds above a busy shopping mall in Kitwe Town, Zambia, Sunday, forcing some people to scamper for safety believing it was a manifestation of God.
The ghost-like cloud appeared above the popular Mukuba Mall and was estimated to be more than 100 meters long. The Daily Mail reports that the giant humanoid shape looked like a dementor from a “Harry Potter“ movie.
“We were shocked to see images that looked like a human in the clouds for close to 30 minutes. Some [onlookers] started worshiping but others ran away. It was so strange,” an eyewitness told the Daily Mail.
Images show the giant human-shaped figure, which reportedly hung in the sky for about half an hour, looking down on the shopping mall.
God’s or Devil’s Wrath?
The occurrence caused a stir on social media, with some people suggesting that it could be a manifestation of God’s wrath upon the sinful world.

Others jokingly linked it to the ongoing political turbulence in Europe and America, while others were convinced that the so-called dementor was a man-made drone.
Jesse Call wrote on Facebook:
Is this the world beginning to pay for electing Theresa May and Donnie [Donald Trump]? Why Zambia? Wouldn’t we deserve the first strike of whatever demonic wrath we’ve brought upon ourselves?
While some people have refuted the claims of such an occurrence ever happening in Zambia, others have interpreted it as a bad omen, saying that it is a sign of the Biblical end times:
Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope and happiness out of the air around them…Get too near a Dementor and every good feeling, every happy memory will be sucked out of you. If it can, the Dementor will feed on you long enough to reduce you to something like itself…soulless and evil. You will be left with nothing but the worst experiences of your life,” Kitty Gissell wrote on Facebook.

According to Harry Potter Facts, a dementor wears a long, hooded black cloak and only lowers its hood when it chooses to use its last and worst weapon. They clamp their mouth on to the victim and suck out its soul.
