During an interview with Complex‘s Speedy Morman, legendary comedian and actor Eddie Murphy disclosed that his “biggest fear” was sitting courtside during an NBA game and being turned into a meme because a player dove into him.

“My biggest fear is to be sitting there and one of them guys go dive for some ball and knock me out and turn into some meme and s**t,” Murphy, 64, said, per Vibe

“I had one of these giant motherf**kers coming and going for a ball, and run you over, and s**t. You be on TV and you be on the news and Shaq stepping on your face […] ‘Cause you don’t really realize how big these guys are ’til you sit on the floor and they run by. It’s like a f**king herd. 7-foot dude and they be diving and s**t,” the Beverly Hills Cop star added.

NBA stars diving into celebrities and other fans while trying to prevent the basketball from going out of bounds is not a rare occurrence.

Elsewhere in the interview, Murphy touched on a Beyoncé story while he was on set with her for Dreamgirls. The 64-year-old revealed that it had to do with something Beyoncé told co-star Jennifer Hudson, and that was probably the first time he was sharing that story.

“I did Dreamgirls right when I was getting divorced,” Murphy started. “I was kind of like on automatic pilot, and I don’t remember a lot of making the movie [Dreamgirls].”

“My Beyoncé memory — and neither one of them knows that I know this — I watched Jennifer Hudson and Beyoncé, they were in between shots, they were on stage, and Jennifer was new in show business and she had, I guess a finger, right between, was ashy, and she was licking her fingers and getting the ash like that,” he said while gesturing what Hudson was doing.

Murphy said Beyoncé then got hold of Hudson and told her, “Ooh girl, don’t do that. I’ll get you some cream.”

“And it was quiet between the two of them, but I saw it,” he added. “And this might be the first time I share that with anyone. That’s my Beyoncé memory.”
