Poem: Fearing the Unknown

Hamar people
Hamar couple of Ethiopia

Hamar people

Hamar couple of Ethiopia

Living in fear, my dude,
Isn’t good, man!

Afraid of failure,
Find yourself a woman.

Living in fear gentle-man,
Isn’t great man!

Whether from Europe or Australia or even Asia…

As we face the unknown,
Remain sane man —
We are the same.

Beautiful Being of a woman,
Please be my helping hand.

Thoughts,
Numerous as the seconds passed,
Of you and our tomorrow,
They cannot be dead —
Revived they can.

Living in fear, my lady love,
Dear sister,
Isn’t good, woman!

Love the power of your nature,
why should you go insane?

Like the vastness of seas and oceans or even these sands,
Thoughts can deter us from reaching our goals as we chant.

Built with a Spirit of power,
Our anthem will forever be Afri-can!

Built with a Soul of determination,
We will stand up as purchasing Ameri-cans.

Built with a Mind determined,
We will continue to rejoice and dance,
And just because we can,
We shall and will forever bury “we can’t.”
