Today, Durk sits in prison ahead of his federal murder-for-hire trial, which has a date set for April 21.
The rapper’s team requested the trial be delayed prior to the date announcement to give time to review discovery, which was granted by a judge.
The trial is in relation to the death of Saviay’a Robinson, who was killed in 2022 in Atlanta following an alleged hit that was ordered on her cousin, rapper Quando Rondo.
Reports indicate that the alleged hit is perceived to be in retaliation for the murder of King Von, which was carried out by Timothy “Lul Timm” Leeks, an affiliate of Rondo.
His lawyer Christy O’ Connor claims the rapper has not been given access to commissary, and is only allowed one phone call each month, without in-person visits.
Court documents show that the status hearing for the case has been set for February 9.

Lil Durk was arrested back in October 2024 in Florida and is said to have spent the last few months in solitary confinement after being found in possession of an Apple Watch.
