Issad Rebrab (Algerian)
Issad was born in 1944 to a veteran freedom fighter. He started working as a schoolteacher before abandoning the profession to venture into business. He started his own accounting firm – the first of a series of other successful companies including Profilor and Metal Sider, all of which were destroyed in a terrorist attack in 1995. After this attack, Issad left Algeria and returned in 1998 with a new venture, the Cevital, the largest agribusiness venture in Algeria. His net worth is estimated to be $3.5 billion.
