Tanasha Faulk, the daughter of former New England Patriots star Kevin Faulk, unexpectedly died at the Oschner Lafayette General Medical Center on Saturday, December 6, The Acadiana Advocate reported.
Tanasha, a mother of three and Faulk’s second daughter, was 30. Though her cause of death has not been disclosed, the news outlet reported that there’s no suspicion of foul play.
Tanasha’s death also came four years after her younger sister and Faulk’s other daughter, Kevione, passed away. Kevione was a student worker for Louisiana State University’s football program when she died in September 2021. She was 19.
Tanasha’s obituary stated that she graduated from Carencro High School in 2014. “Tanasha was known for her vibrant spirit, her deep devotion to those she loved, and the joy she brought to everyone around her,” her obituary said.
Tanasha was also remembered for being a proud mother and someone who loved to cook. “Family was the center of Tanasha’s world, especially her three daughters, who were the greatest blessings of her life. Being their mother brought her so much joy and she was immensely proud watching them grow and learn,” her obituary added.
“Tanasha also found joy in holidays, birthdays, family gatherings, and especially Mardi Gras. She loved to cook and was happiest when preparing meals that brought people together. Her generosity, laughter, and loving nature created a sense of home wherever she went.”
It continued: “Tanasha will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering love for her family, and the light she brought to all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her beautiful girls and family.”
Besides her three daughters, the obituary stated that Tanasha is survived by her companion of five years, Isaac Louis; her parents, Kevin Faulk and Latisha Clark Faulk; one sister, Tionne Lewis, as well as her two brothers, Tavion Faulk and Kevin Faulk, III. She is also survived by other family members.
Faulk, 49, played college football for the LSU Tigers. The New England Patriots selected him with the 46th overall pick in the second round during the 1999 NFL Draft. Faulk spent 13 seasons with the Patriots and won three Super Bowls with the franchise. He was also appointed as an assistant coach at LSU.
Besides Tanasha and Kevione, the obituary stated that Faulk had an infant son who is also deceased.
