Tsavorite
Tsavorite is regarded as the world’s most unusual gemstone. It is known for its tough, bright and pure green tone. Unlike other gemstones of its class, Tsavorite has a higher grade, deeper, more intense, brighter and clearer quality.
This stone is found in East Africa, specifically in Tanzania and Kenya. Each stone can be cut into three carats, which makes it extremely exceptional. Compared with other stones, Tsavorite has a primarily higher refractive degree of about 1.734/44.
The price of Tsavorite varies greatly depending on its size and quality. At the moment, a high quality Tsavorite can cost up to $8,000 per carat.
