Though Sub-Saharan Africa accounts for 14 percent of the global population, in 2017 there were 5.5 million new cases of displacement; this translates into 46.4 percent of the world’s total.
Some of these dislocations are attributed to conservation efforts, conflicts marred by ethnic disputes and then for purposes of boosting business. There are many traditional communities in Africa being forced to leave their homes thus, having their existence and culture greatly disrupted.
