Darius Jackson is refuting the abuse allegations in the wake of the domestic violence restraining order that his ex-girlfriend Keke Palmer filed against him. Per TMZ, Jackson also claimed Palmer’s mother threatened to put a bullet in his head.

As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Palmer in documents filed in a Los Angeles court claimed that Jackson physically attacked her on multiple occasions. She also cited the instances where Jackson allegedly abused her physically and emotionally, claiming that it happened over two years.

But TMZ reported that sources close to Jackson claimed the recent incident between the pair was a result of a custody argument over their 8-month-old son. Jackson is said to have notified Palmer about his intention to take their child to a football game. But their son wasn’t around when Jackson went to Palmer’s place.

The two later got into an argument before Palmer called her mother Sharon and put their conversation on speakerphone. Sharon reportedly yelled and cussed at Jackson during the call and told him she was going to put a bullet in his head.

Jackson is said to have later tried taking Palmer’s phone, resulting in a physical struggle between the couple. Sources told the news outlet that the episode in question was the screenshots Palmer attached to the restraining order she filed against Jackson.

But Jackson claimed he did not physically attack the Akeelah and the Bee actress. Officers who responded to the scene did not also establish any grounds to arrest Jackson for domestic violence. Neither Palmer nor Jackson filed a report either.

Jackson’s mother is said to have also texted Palmer’s mother after she got to know about Sharon threatening her son. “Hello Sharon. How are you? I have tried not to get involved in my son’s personal business, but I heard that you are going to put a Bullet in my son’s head???

“Well, then now we have to involve the authorities, because you don’t respect or value yourself, and I can see no my son’s life. You might have to kill all of us. I will file a police report on you now,” Jackson’s mother wrote in the text, per TMZ.

Sharon responded by writing: “Please do not contact me with this ridiculous childish behavior.

“Your son choked his own sister, deal with his anger issues. If he attacks my daughter in her own place where she pays the bills, he is trespassing and anything can happen, so he should stay away. You should be very ashamed to have raised a man who fights women.”

Palmer has since been granted the temporary restraining order as well as temporary sole custody of their son. Jackson will have the opportunity to defend his case during a hearing on December 5.
